- To look backward for a while is to refresh the eye, to restore it, and to render it the more fit for its prime function of looking forward.
- Never dull your shine for somebody else.
- You're never as good as everyone tells you when you win, and you're never as bad as they say when you lose.
- Prayer crowns God with the honor and glory due to His name, and God crowns prayer with assurance and comfort. The most praying souls are the most assured souls.
