Inspirational Quotes by Albert Low (Canadian Zen Master)

Albert William Low (1928–2016) was a British-born Canadian Zen master in the Philip Kapleau lineage. Low studied Zen under Roshi Philip Kapleau, author of The Three Pillars of Zen, receiving transmission as a teacher in 1986. He was the director and guiding teacher of the Montreal Zen Centre 1979–2016.

Born in London, England, Low held a B.A. degree in Philosophy and Psychology and was a trained counselor. After living in England, South Africa, Canada, and the U.S., and settled in Montreal in 1979. For many years, Low served as a human resources executive and a management consultant, lecturing widely on organizational dynamics.

Low authored many books, including An Invitation to Practice Zen (1989,) The Four Ways of Knowing (2006,) What More Do You Want? (2013,) Zen and Creative Management (1976,) and Iron Cow of Zen (1990.)
