James Grant (b.1946) is an American writer and publisher. He is the founder and the chief editor of Grant’s Interest Rate Observer, a twice-monthly journal of the financial markets.
Born in New York City, Grant attended Indiana University and received a master’s degree in International relations from Columbia University. He gained reputation as an articulate observer and a incisive analyst of the financial markets since he started his Barron’s column “Current Yield” in the late 1970s.
