The Rev. John B. Sheerin (1907–92) was an American Catholic columnist, editor, and pioneer in interfaith relations.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Sheerin received a law degree from Fordham University in 1930. After a legal career, Sheerin was the editor of The Catholic World 1948–72. He also wrote a weekly column that syndicated in Catholic diocesan newspapers.
Sheerin gained distinction for advocating unity among Christian denominations, attacking religious traditions that encouraged anti-Semitism, and opposing the Vietnam War.
