Leo Aikman (1908–78) was an American humorist and speaker. He was a columnist for the Atlanta Constitution for 31 years.
Born in Dana, Indiana, Aikman received his bachelor’s degree from DePauw University and his master’s degree in American History from the University of Michigan. After a stint with the National Parks Service in Washington, D.C., he became a historian at Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park in Marietta, Georgia. He then became editor of the weekly Cobb County Times in Marietta before joining the Atlanta Constitution in 1948.
