Marvin Traub (1925–2012) was an American executive. The former president and chairperson of the luxury department store chain Bloomingdale’s, he was an authority in retailing, particularly merchandising and marketing.

Born to a Jewish family in New York City, Traub served in the U.S. Army during World War II and later graduated from Harvard University and Harvard Business School.

Traub served as Bloomingdale’s CEO 1978–92 and gained a reputation for status-conscious merchandising, stylish interiors, and carrying designer clothing. After leaving Bloomingdale’s, Traub founded his consulting firm and invested in real estate.

Traub wrote Like No Other Store: Bloomingdale’s Legend and the Revolution in American Marketing (1993) and Like No Other Career (2008.)
