Inspirational Quotes by Mick Jagger (English Rock Musician)

Mick Jagger (b.1943,) fully Sir Michael Philip Jagger, is an English rock singer and songwriter. As a lyricist and lead singer of the international rock and roll band Rolling Stones, Jagger is one of the most enduring celebrities of the 1960s.

Born in Dartford, Kent, Jagger became a fervent fan of black American rhythm and blues while studying at the London School of Economics. In 1962, he formed the Rolling Stones with guitarist and childhood friend Keith Richards. By mixing early blues, rock and roll, and rhythm and blues, the Stones were influential in introducing American pop music to Britain, reinventing it as British rock, and then exporting it globally.

Jagger and Richards’s songwriting partnership is one of the most celebrated in rock music. The Rolling Stones produced more than 50 hits, including “Satisfaction” (1965) and “Brown Sugar” (1971.) Jagger’s solo albums such as She’s The Boss (1985) were not as successful as his work with the Stones.

The Rolling Stones continue to tour, breaking box office records and releasing new material—A Bigger Bang (2005) reached number three in America and number two in Britain.
