Inspirational Quotes by Sharon Anderson-Gold (American Philosopher)

Sharon Anderson-Gold (1947–2011) was an American academic and philosopher who specialized in applied ethics as well as social, political, and environmental philosophy. Her published works concentrated on international justice and human rights.

Born in East Hartford, Connecticut, Anderson-Gold earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Central Connecticut State University, and master’s degrees in political science and philosophy and a doctoral degree in philosophy from The New School for Social Research.

A faculty member for more than 30 years at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, Troy, New York, Anderson-Gold served as chair of its Science and Technology Studies Department.

Anderson-Gold’s books on Kantian ethics and political philosophy include Unnecessary Evil: History and Moral Progress in the Philosophy of Immanuel Kant (2000) and Kant’s Anatomy of Evil (2014.) Her works on bioethics and environmental ethics include Cosmopolitanism and Human Rights (2001.)
