Inspirational Quotes by Steve Young (American Football Player)

Steve Young (b.1961,) fully Jon Steven Young, is a retired American gridiron football player. He is considered one of the most accurate quarterbacks in the National Football League (NFL) history.

Born in Salt Lake City, Utah, Young is a great-great-great-grandson of Brigham Young, second president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (the Mormons.) He attended Brigham Young University, earning a law degree in 1994. He played college football, broke 13 national college records, and was recognized as one of the top five student-athletes in the U.S.. Young initially played for the NFL Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Los Angeles Express of the United States Football League (USFL.)

Young is best known for his 13 seasons with the San Francisco 49ers starting in 1987. He was the starting quarterback for the 49ers 1991–94 and led the NFL in passing, earning league most valuable player (MVP) honors in 1992 and 1994 and the MVP of Super Bowl XXIX in 1995.

In 1997, Young led the team to the National Football Conference (NFC) championship game, and two years later, he was selected to his seventh Pro Bowl. After retirement in 1999, Young became an analyst for several sports programs, and he worked as a motivational speaker.
