Inspirational Quotes by Naomi Klein (Canadian Author, Activist)

Naomi Klein (b.1970) is a Canadian author and activist whose first book, No Logo (2000,) made her one of the preeminent voices in the antiglobalization movement. Kleinirst also writes for The Globe and Mail, The Guardian, and The Nation.

Born in Montreal, Quebec, Klein studied philosophy and literature at the University of Toronto but dropped without a degree to write for The Globe and Mail.

At age 30, Klein published No Logo (2000,) an analysis of large, global companies’ marketing and branding practices. Per the New Yorker, she became “the most visible and influential figure on the American left” almost overnight. No Logo was translated into over 28 languages, and it made Klein an international media star.

Klein followed with Fences and Windows (2002,) a collection of antiglobalization essays—from World Trade Organization protests to a study of the Zapatista unrest in Chiapas, Mexico.

The Shock Doctrine (2007; a critique of neoliberalism,) This Changes Everything: Capitalism vs. the Climate (2014,) No Is Not Enough: Resisting Trump’s Shock Politics and Winning the World We Need (2017,) and The Battle for Paradise: Puerto Rico Takes on the Disaster Capitalists (2018.) On Fire: The (Burning) Case for a Green New Deal (2019) addresses the climate crisis.
